Update on Callie's Health

Since we've been to the GI Callie has been doing so much better. No throwing up or diarrhea diapers in 3 weeks! We went to the allergist last week and Callie was tested for allergies to milk, eggs, soy, peanut butter, and wheat. The test came back with good news, Callie isn't allergic to anything but the milk. I was so happy to know that, because her food choices are limited enough with a milk allergy.

Callie doesn't get hives, or a swollen mouth when she drinks milk (so it isn't life threatening), she get red cheeks, and gets a really red bum when she poops that bleeds sometimes. The Dr. told us it is like her bum is scalded, so to be very careful with wiping.

The Dr. also gave us a food plan to help Callie build up an immunity to the milk so that she will eventually grow out of it. This could take 6 months or years to do, so she said to have patience with it.

Tony and I are so relieved to finally have her feeling better and a plan for our future. I am so happy to be out of the dark, and to have answers.
